Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Integration Program (I3P) Acquisitions

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) intends to procure services to provide agency-wide management, integration, and delivery of IT infrastructure services. NASA intends to procure these IT infrastructure services through several component contracts. These contracts will include the Agency Consolidated End User Services (ACES) Contract, the NASA Integrated Communications Services (NICS) contract, the NASA Enterprise Data Center (NEDC) contract, the Web Enterprise Service Technologies (WEST) contract, and the Enterprise Applications Service Technologies (EAST) contract.

Acquisition Schedule Update: October 23, 2009 – NASA is still on track to implement its strategy of integrating IT infrastructure; however, the coordination and review of cross- contract requirements is taking longer than anticipated. CIO Linda Cureton said, “The I3P is a significant opportunity that doesn’t come along often to improve how we manage information at NASA. I want to make sure that when we do it, I3P will be successful.”

NASA’s notional release plan for final requests for proposals (RFPs) for the I3P contracts includes releasing final RFPs in 2009, with contracts starting around the end of 2010. NASA will notify interested parties (registered on this site) at least two weeks in advance of the release of final RFPs. Additional information will be issued as soon as it is available.

Acquisition Schedule Update: November 20, 2009 – NASA is on track to release the Web Enterprise Service Technologies (WEST) final request for proposal (RFP) on or about December 4, 2009 and plans to release the other four I3P final RFPs in the next couple of months. NASA still plans to notify interested parties (registered on this site) two weeks in advance of each RFP final release.
