1. How does my company register to attend
Industry Day? Please click on
the "Registration" button on the upper left side
of this webpage. Complete the registration form
and be sure to select the Industry Day
registration check box. Once complete, you will
receive an email to confirm your registration
that you are required to bring with you on both
days to the event. For more information about
Industry Day, click on the "Industry Day - April
2009" button on the upper left
side of this webpage.
2. Is it a requirement to attend Industry Day
in order to submit a proposal on a component of
the acquisition? Attending Industry Day to
submit a proposal is not a requirement of this
acquisition. Attendance at I3P acquisition
activities is optional and for
information gathering only. Please
continue to check this website for the latest
I3P acquisition information.
3. Will there be Webcast capabilities for this
Industry Day? There will not be remote
access via a webcast for Industry Days. However,
presentation materials will be available in the
Technical Library following Industry
Days.
4. I plan to attend I3P Industry Day. Where
should I stay? NASA has not reserved a block
of rooms for this event, however
www.washington.org provides great lodging
options and general information about the
Washington, DC area.
5. Will there be a separate Program
Management procurement to support the entire I3P
or the NASA CIO for this effort? NASA does
not currently have any plans for obtaining
program support through an additional
procurement.
6. Following Industry Day, will I be sent a
copy of the solicitations? All I3P-related
documents for public viewing will be posted in
the I3P
Technical Library , on FedBizOpps,
and on NAIS.
7. Do you have a rough schedule/program of
which programs will be discussed and at specific
times? An agenda has not been published
yet, but during the two-day meeting,
presentations will be given concerning each of
the five draft RFP’s and the overall I3P
initiative.
8. Will the same material be discussed on
both 4/21 and 4/22 or will new material be
presented each day? For planning purposes,
different information will be presented each
day. NASA recommends that interested parties
attend both days to learn about the overall
program and how the contracts will be integrated
within I3P.
9. Will there be time allowed to talk with
the Program Managers one-on-one? Due to the
expected number of participants, during Industry
Days, there will not be an opportunity for
industry one-on-ones. You will hear directly
from NASA thought leaders who have developed the
draft RFPs as they explain the key elements of
the various acquisitions. However, you can
submit written questions or comments for
consideration by each of the five procurement
teams. This input will be used to assist NASA
in the development of final RFPs.
10. The site says that two (2) people per
company are allowed to attend. Should our
second company representative register on the
website for Industry Day as well? We ask
each company to coordinate and identify which
two people will attend. Each attendee should
self-register.
11. Is my company allowed to bring more than
two (2) people to Industry Days? In
response to requests from contractors who may be
bidding on more than one contract, NASA is
opening up participation in Industry Days.
Contractors can send two representatives for
each contract on which they are considering to
bid. In other words, if a contractor is
considering to bid on two contracts, then four
representatives from that company may register
to attend Industry Days.
12. What is the cost to attend Industry Days?
There is no charge to registered
participants for the meetings on Industry
Days.
13. Does the Mellon Auditorium have wireless
access? It does not have wireless.
However, sprint cards and similar devices do
work in a limited capacity. BlackBerry devices
work in the building.
